This volume brings together twelve of Michael Wilks's papers on Wyclif written between 1965 and 1998. Most are reprinted from Studies in Church History but there is also his important paper on the origins of Lollardy from The Church in a Changing Society; an English version of his biographical article on Wyclif originally published in French; and his previously unpublished inaugural lecture as professor of Medieval History, given at Birkbeck College in 1980.
