I’m after something that's fairly detailed and specific, mainly about
Hugh De Spenser (alias Despenser, Despencer, De Spencer, or even le De
Spencer . . . ) and the rear-end of Edward II's reign.
My key interest lies in the allegations that Mortimer had instructed a
known wizard to create figures out of wax and stuck pins in them,
trying to kill Hugh by nasty means. However, trying to learn anything
about this is proving damn difficult. Since the book's deadline is fast
approaching, and I haven't written the first page yet, this is getting
a little – um – fraught. Any advice would be gratefully received.
