Security:
medievalbookshop does
not have the use of a secure server, so please do not send credit card
numbers, passwords, access codes or other sensitive details by email. You can find advice about online
security at www.cardwatch.org.uk.
Send a reservation
to the email address above stating:
(a) the
item(s) you
are interested in
- please give at least the author(s) and title(s). You can also quote
the unique 7-character code given in the title bar at the top of an
item's page;
if more than one copy
is
listed,
please give further identifying details of the copy you are interested
in;
(b)
where is
your delivery
address (UK / Europe / outside Europe)? If you require airmail or
other services to a destination outside Europe, please also state the
name of the country.
(c)
You can pay in a currency other than
sterling by using Paypal; you should state if you require any form of
delivery other than standard
uninsured surface mail.
(d)
Any further
enquiries about the
items you are reserving.
If
your email
programme
allows it, activate the receipt request button - this will ensure that
you'll know if your email is not received.
Notes:
- Making this
reservation
places you under
no obligation - you can cancel it at any time, but please do send an
email
if you change your mind! You are welcome to get in touch by conventional
mail if you prefer.
- A useful way
to construct your reservation is to copy and paste the entire item
description(s)
into your email - this ensures that you are reminded to check the
description(s)
given. Every item now has a 7-character reference number at the head of
their page - you're welcome to use this if you prefer. Check the descriptions
page to see
how terms are defined on this web site, but you're welcome to enquire
about
anything you don't understand or that you think is unclear.
- Your
location
is only needed to work out the postage cost, so all you need to say is
which of the three zones your order will be delivered to (UK / Europe /
outside Europe). For locations outside Europe, you will usually
be given prices for both airmail and surface mail. You don't have to
provide
any further personal information at this stage.
- Postage,
packing and insurance are charged extra at cost - so please state
if
you wish to use any particular carrier or type of service. If you don't
state a preference, an uninsured/surface mail/printed paper rate
service
will be used, or the nearest available equivalent for your
country.
Using
PayPal
to make either a money transfer or a credit card payment will allow you
to pay in US or Canadian dollars, Euros, and Yen. The invoice amount
will still be given in sterling (GB Pounds), but Paypal will charge
your account in your chosen currency, using that day's exchange rate.
Most other methods (including checks and direct transfers) will incur
extra
banking charges for all non-sterling (GBP) payments - see notes on
payment methods.
