medievalbookshop’s listings have been (theoretically) removed from public view, but in practice search engines such as Google, DuckDuckGo et all still index them so that you may find yourself in an outdated part of the website.

It is unlikely that medievalbookshop will be formally relaunched, and it is not currently buying new stock; however the listing pages remain online for the time being to clear some of the old stock.

Books listed there are mostly still available, but please be aware that the item pages are in some cases quite old, so that some books have deteriorated in condition since their descriptions were posted, and a few might still be listed after having been sold, lost, or packed for disposal. If you see something of interest, or just fancy an online browse, please feel welcome to use the contact links at the top of this page to get in touch — I’ll fulfil orders whenever possible.

Strikes & service disruptions

medievalbookshop uses Royal Mail services for despatch, usually 48-hour tracked, so that in normal circumstances you should receive your order within a few days. Unusual circumstances such as lockdowns and strikes can cause delays — you can always check on expected service levels at the Royal Mail website — they do their best to give accurate advice, but please be aware that circumstances change rapidly during periods of strike action.

With regard to COVID-19, packages travelling by post are generally deemed to be low-risk. You can find advice and updates at the World Health Organization’s website — please don’t use social media services to spread gossip and rumour!
