Medievalbookshop — training & template creation

Graphic design and typesetting service
Training & template creation

Medievalbookshop can offer introductory training in Quark XPress and InDesign, either on a one-to-one basis, or for small groups (no more than half a dozen at a time, please, so that everyone can have individual attention through the day). Learn all the basics, from creating a file through to making your first newsletter!

The package will be tailored to your firm’s needs and experience, so that you get the maximum benefit and value for money, and aftercare is included as standard.

Training is delivered at your own site, so that everyone’s working in their familiar environment from the get-go. Use the contact link at the top of the page to get in touch and discuss your requirements.

Template creation

Medievalbookshop also offers a template creation service, either as an add-on to a training package, or as a stand-alone service. The clear benefit here is that staff can have a standard file to work from while they’re building up the confidence and experience to make their own tweaks and designs.

If your firm is making the transition from Quark XPress to InDesign, or vice versa, your existing templates can be adapted for use in the new programme.

Executive reports

The client was proposing to implement a workflow which would replace Illustrator with Inkscape and asked us to prepare some comments in the form of a summary report.

Email newsletters

The client wanted an adaptable template for an email newsletter campaign which they could then take in-house and populate with new content for each issue.
